Noel Thomas David Gallagher (29 de maig de 1967) és un músic de rock britànic, compositor i guitarrista principal del grup Oasis.Va néixer a Burnage, un barri obrer de Manchester, Anglaterra, fill de pares irlandesos. Amb la cançó "Smells like teen spirit" del disc Nevermind de l'any 1991, Nirvana assoliren el seu màxim nivell de popularitat i, amb ells, el punk-rock alternatiu els mitjans de comunicació anomenaven grunge. La breu carrera de Nirvana va acabar amb la mort d'en Kurt Cobain per suïcidi el 1994, però la popularitat del grup va continuar els anys següents.
